I love the thrilling, suspensfulness of the book. I also NEED to find out about the Peeta/Gale conflict. But above all of that, I want to find out about the Avox girl. Who was the boy she was with? It kinda seems like forshadowing to me. 2 people (possibly in love) that need to run together to escape certain death. (Seem familiar???) Maybe the Avox girl's story will be played out again but with different people..... (any guesses??):P

I like the book because it's an unusual story. It doesn't have vampires, werewolves, ghosts or any other paranormal beings, and it is really realistic. I think it's a very original story that hooked me up from page one, and you can't stop reading until you finish it. And you can sympathize with Katniss and understand her. It's a great book. And I need to read what comes next now!

Hi, I'm Elinor, and I want to read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins because I am basically in love with the first book. Everything was amazing and perfect in that book and the cliffhanger at the end made me so excited. I just really want to know what happens in the second book, because I'm sure it's going to be really exciting and I've been dying for this book to come out for more than half a year now. I know that's not very long, but I still can't believe I've survived this long!

Hello, my name is Tyler L., and I would be lying if I told you I wasn't completely in love with the series. But... I'm not entering the contest so that I can read it if I win. I'm entering the contest for a close friend of mine, Kaylin. She introduced me to The Hunger Games, and is probably the biggest Hunger Games fan on the planet. I plan on getting her Catching Fire for her birthday. Problem is, her birthday is in August, and Catching Fire is released in September. I can only imagine her reaction if she were not only to get the book, but to get it EARLY. Mmm... I'm making sure she reads it before I do, she introduced me, so I will read the book after her. Thanks.

Suzanne Collins is one of my favorite authors. I've read all of her novels, except Catching Fire. Wish she would have a greater web presence.

The Hunger Games was an addictive read. I don't think my literary appetite will be satiated until I get more. Knowing Suzanne, I really don't know what to expect, but I'm sure it will be great.

Also, this was the first book I could convince my mom to read with me, and now we both are looking forward to it.

This is an amazing idea! You're the best. I cannot wait for september. I am quite literally counting down. I want to see more of the characters that didn't have a big role in the Hunger Games. Like Prim and Katniss's mother and Haymitch and Gale. I'm sooo excited!

Why do I want to read Catching Fire? Simply because The Hunger Games brought me lots of joy and spirit-- things only gained through reading. Thoughout the school year, I was sullen and sad because I focused so much on my education, I had abandoned all aspects of
my personal life , including reading. I decided to pick up a book at the end of the year and that is how I became hooked onto The Hunger Games. I've grown such an attachment to the characters that I want to see what will become of them. Catching Fire will mean lots to me.

*Note: Sorry for being cliche. I feel really passionate about this book.

The reason I want to win this ARC of Catching Fire is because when I read a book as good as "The Hunger Games" I don't want it to end. Books like this should forever go on and on. I want to win so I can know finally what happens to Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Prim, and everyone else. Please consider me for this.

I also am following you.

And here is my blog about the giveaway and books.

Why I Want To Read Catching Fire By Suzanne Collins

When I first read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, I absolutely fell in love with it! It was such a masterpiece and it left me with many thoughts and ideas jumbled in my head. I was amazed by the mere courage and strength of the characters Collins had created. Furthermore, the idea of having another world exist after the very same world that we know and love today had been obliterated was amazing. Kudos to Collins for creating such an entertaining tale! But Collins’ story did much more than amuse me, it expanded my way of thought. The main character of this novel, Katniss Everdeen, became a part of me. It was astonishing to see how such a young girl could have so much love and potency inside of her. It made me consider the world in a different perspective. I’ve never really thought about how much violence exists among us today, or how big a part politics plays in our lives. Katniss’s adventure made me think a lot more about the world around us. This is why I have an almost overwhelming desire to read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. Because I feel Katniss has become a part of my life and that if I don’t read the book, I’ll feel like something is missing in my life. Like some long-lost story is incomplete.

Hi Suzie! I'm new to your blog so I'm going to look around a bit before I subscribe. I will let you know if I do.

In the meantime, I should tell you that I want to read CATCHING FIRE because I am masochistic. Seriously, why would ANYONE want to read CATCHING FIRE only to know that there's a third volume not due out anytime soon? It's a terrible, terrible thing to inflict on yourself...like waiting for the next Harry Potter book. Sure, life might go on but you're always wanting, in the back of your mind, always thinking about that next volume of the story.

And I really want to see if they get more fiery costumes.

All right, yes, yes, I'm following! Fun for me (new blog) and yay for an extra entry!

Three reasons why I would love to win this book, and honestly need to read it for the sake of my mental stability:

1) I read the Hunger Games right when it came out. I was so into it I felt as if I was starving the entire novel and kept on eating as I was reading. You may not be contributing to my health, but it shows how much I love the book.

2) I have entered every contest in the known universe to get this book. And have not even won once. Oh my.

3) I would be forever grateful and worship you. You would get a plaque on my wall for being the most awesome person alive.

If I win, which I'm hoping I do, oh Lord please let me, contact me at potteryankeesfreak@yahoo.com. Thanks for your consideration!

Hello, I would certainly love to be entered into the contest.

Why do I want to read the book? For me, the Hunger Games left me haunted. I couldn't get to sleep, not because I was scared, just beacuse it left my mind racing with questions. I think Suzanne Collins did an amazing job in making people really think about the lessons and morals of her story. Would I be able to do that? What similarities do I see in her story and reality?

I talk about all of these thoughts on my blog here: http://brisingr.net/saulchichas/?p=86 (Where I have also linked to this contest).

I want to read CF because I want to see where the author plans to take this. How else is she going to make me question myself? I'm just dying to know!

Please consider me as a candidate for the book. Thanks a ton! :)

I absolutely love this book because the characters are believable and I don't get the feeling that they are acting... Well I don't get the feeling that they are acting except when the are trying to act.
He he.
It's very suspenceful, and I have to admit I read the book yesterday from 10 PM, to 3AM. I just couldn't stop.

i would LOVE to read this, because i love both YA and reality tv. when it first came out i told my friend to read it IMMEDIATELY, and she wrote her MA thesis on it - but got to read "catching fire" before i did!! (her program had an ARC that she got to borrow.) and the release date keeps getting pushed back.

i just don't think that's fair!! ;)

Five Random Things About Suzie

1. I drink so much orange soda, it's probably running through my veins. I've been known to go through a twelve pack of diet sunkist in a day.

2. I'm legitimately nocturnal (or a vampire). I will be so exhausted at two pm that I'm falling asleep standing up - it has happened before, at Six Flags no less - but as soon as the sun goes down I'm wide awake.

3. I have a gorgeous unused $6000 Reem Acra wedding dress hanging in my closet, and it showed up on my doorstep the same day my (now ex) fiance broke up with me. And thank God for that. I wouldn't have wanted to waste that dress on him.

4. Social anxiety plagues me daily. I write a script and practice in front of the mirror when I have to make a phone call, but most people who interact with me have no idea how nervous I am (or perhaps they lie) because I've worked so hard to try to overcome it.

5. I'm actually worried that I will never love my children (when I do have them in the far off future) as much as I love my dogs. I just like animals better than people - they're sweet and innocent and soft and furry - is that so wrong?
